"If he does not," he says, "Or if it takes time, you must look after him," Aramis begs of Athos. "He has already lost so much he ought to have had to make him happy." Aramis' voice breaks, but he clears his throat, determined to see to this much. "If he loses the man he thought I am, he must still have you."
