In the end, he settles for dragging out the bag he'd brought in earlier, digging out a pair of flannel pajama pants that are comfortable in a soft, soft way and a white t-shirt that hides most of the bruises (there's a few on his arms it doesn't hide). It takes him some time, but he changes into the crisp, clean-smelling clothes.
